VolksWagen Touerag

Germans, when it comes to the Volkswagen are known to be pretty ordinary. So looking at the Touareg its very easy to just dismiss it as another overpriced Volkswagen.  In a lot of cases, that's not a bad call at all, but this one model is different. Impressive to the eye, very robust. Has that rugged swagger about it. The I am rough on the outside but so smooth on the inside look.
There is a lot of room inside, A little too much sometimes. For some bizarre reason I could not get comfortable in this car. The seat could not be adjusted enough nor the steering too.I moved forward as much, and backwards to but still something felt incomplete. Very odd. Only sits five people and that's it. Volkswagen have come to terms with that American dominance in the SUV class. Only the Americans and Japanese have mastered the art of sitting seven people comfortably in an SUV. The steering wheel is telescopic and moves up and down. This is coming standard in most cars these days. There is enough boot space because Volkswagen conceded that they cant sit "twenty people" in this car, so they thought , why not add more space for your baggage. Climate control is dual, the front passenger can control their own environment. The sound system again is top quality. Airbags all round plus there are roll bars which makes the cars real sturdy and able to absorb impact. The back door can be opened like many cars, by remote and the only difference with Volkswagen have  is, the way the door adjusts to the height of your garage door. Only opens up that height, the door is adjustable to any height. Bravo Volkswagen. Paint job would be expensive if there is a scratch on the door. Plus the rear window can be opened independently so one can throw their groceries without opening the main door.

I felt domineering when I was on the freeway. The Touareg seems to come into its own  here. The car, considering its a diesel and Turbo Direct Injection, performs just like a Gasoline engine. The get up and go is impressive, and one can look down on other cars, great feeling. When you get to 100mph the suspension is so sturdy and with this sturdiness comes the ease to take corners. The car seems to just settle on the road and take the bumps with Grace. Fuel economy  is 18 - 25 miles to the gallon.

One car that people must look at . At just over $50000.00 this is a good buy considering there is all the nice gadgets and accessories. I would make this car part of the fleet. Look out for the Volkswagen Touareg Hybrid coming soon too.
